It seems odd to talk about cooler temperatures and snowy/icy weather as we are still in the heat of Summer and dealing with 90+ degree weather. But there are many good reasons to getting your Winter PM scheduled today:
1. Cost Savings: With regular PMs, your system will run longer and more efficiently because all parts and components are checked and cleaned. With a regular PM, we can identify an issue before it calls for replacing parts or whole systems, therefore you are going to save money on the labor, parts and installation of new equipment. When the parts and equipment are clean, the system is going to run cleaner, safer, more efficiently and use less energy. If there is a buildup of grime or debris anywhere in the system, the process of cooling or healing is going to take longer and use a great deal more energy. Also, efficient system will save you money because regular PMs ensure your equipment is running at the highest efficiency which provides a significant savings in energy costs.
2. Time Savings: If a new part is needed, time is of the essence. And if you’re in season of needing heating and/or cooling, it can often take four to six weeks to receive special parts or equipment replacements if needed. In the case when there is no redundant or backup systems, it could mean a huge loss of time, resources, money as well as business revenue. If there are parts or even entire systems that need to be ordered, replaced and installed, this gives our staff the needed time to await the shipping of your items, which could take several days to several weeks, depending on the specialty of the item and the size of the equipment that is needed. This gives our staff sufficient time to make the needed repairs and replacement well before the equipment will be needed to cool the air.
3. Ensure Productivity and prevent downtime (Process): If the system is currently not in use due to current temperatures, this is the perfect time to fully inspect, clean, and replace any parts while the system is already shut down. If you wait when the temperatures and humidity start to change, your system will have to be shut down and out of use when you, your staff and your production lines need the cooling or heating system. This could result in downtime of production, as well as temporary discomfort for your staff, customers, student body and patients (in the healthcare industry).
4. Keep your Team, Students, Patients and Customers Safe & Warm (Comfort): Businesses also need the comfort side of heating and cooling when it comes to generating the optimal temperature for their employees, customers, and vendors to ensure a safe and productive workspace. The same can be said for schools, hospitals, health care facilities, nursing homes, universities, and prisons, where you are required to ensure a comfortable and consistent temperature, as well as a safe environment.
All of the issues involved with downtime or equipment failure can be avoided if your business has a consistent preventative maintenance schedule, because most of the issues that can cause a temporary or total breakdown can be predetermined by our team of certified and experienced technicians. If you have not already had your Winter PM completed, now is the time to schedule it.
